Description

Although Avon was familiar with the sight of the ocean, since his river mouth boundary adjoined it, this was the first time he had ever felt drawn to exploring it further. The pull of the ocean's voice led him to a long, sandy beach, and he wandered across it, before coming to a collection of three objects: an old fishing buoy, a piece of driftwood, and an ikaite stone. Something about them spoke to him, so he stopped to examine them more closely.
