At this time I most often employed the practice of drawing with red pencil, sometimes inking after with blue pen (which sometimes makes for an interesting old-school 3D glasses effect). It's amazing to me that I drew this almost ten years ago and I still quite like it. I still think that Treasure Planet is one of Disney's most underrated movies.

I Love Jim Hawkins!!! He is the sexiest Disney male character ever!!! :<3: Treasure Planet is a fantastic movie and I think it doesn't get as much attention as it should due to the fact that Jimbo doesn't fall in love with a princess. I think that's what makes Jimbo so great and unique. He doesn't need a princess. He just needs Morph, his solar surfer, and a lil' adventure.

Ha ha, yes, I usually avoid thinking of or referring to Disney characters as "sexy" (it just seems wrong to me for reasons), but I agree that Treasure Planet is terribly underrated. I don't even think it needed more romance, there are a lot of successful animated movies that don't have a predominant love story, I think it's more to do with marketing at the time, and confusion of target audience. But I'm glad to know it has its fans!

I loved this when I was a kid! To think that space was home to so many creatures was truly mesmerizing back then.
