You know how Sans says he doesn't really care about capturing anyone? Well, that's probably because he doesn't want to go through the trouble of using his bones and blasters to whittle down his opponent's HP until they're incapacitated (during his fight in the Genocide run, he even says the fighting is tiring him out). But if Frisk and other humans who fell underground were this tiny, catching them would be no trouble at all for Sans- all he'd have to do is pick them up and put them in his pocket.
