commission for kellsterkitten @ FAoriginally her concept and a fun challenge of seeing how close I could match the look of the show & model sheets.
also man, it occurred to me that this show must've been crazy to hand animate. just .. having to draw all those stripes moving around at different angles, shifting as the character transforms into different objects/animals.
Not to mention they also had a full skeleton character, a spider (w/ 8 tiny shoes!) and lydia's cobweb dress. just..wow haha. Anyway, gave me a whole new level of respect/appreciation for this show.
Some incredibly talented animators amirite?

I have the box set of this and love it! Beetlejuice is so fun to draw but you're right, it must have been a challenge to animate. I never thought of that before. Stripes are especially always hard.

My box set was put together by a fan and includes "lost" and "rare" episodes but I know an official box set was released a few years ago. I think it's on Amazon. I got mine before the official one was released though.
I know they mis-coloured quite a few frames when they were animating the stripes lol!

Ohh your right i havent watched it in so long but yeah wasnt it like alittle dirty for a kids show?? But not as bad as ren and stimpy haha
