Just recently I decided to give the Regular/Government flag a redesign to have three colors on it just like the Rebel flag did; not to mention simplify the "globe" design around the four pointed star.And yes the color choices are deliberately based off of that of the old SNK Playmore logo, when SNK was called that from 2003 to 2016.
Metal Slug is property of SNK.

They're the protagonist faction, granted they aren't very heroic (and more akin to how the US acted in the War on Terror) but they are certainly better than the Rebel forces, at least in my TL.
