i was around 4 or 5 feet from it my camera rested on fencing wall and it was slightly above ground and close it appears due to good zooming of camera

believe me it is not having these colors all the time it is only when it is disturbed or when he is in 'mood'

it is because they are in 'mood', right now as monsoon rains will start
in normal course it is no at all photogenic

head to tail it is around 30 centimeters tail is longer than body ,The Oriental Garden Lizard, Eastern Garden Lizard or Changeable Lizard (Calotes versicolor) is an agamid lizard found widely distributed in Asia. It has also been introduced in many other parts of the world.It is an insectivore and the male gets a bright red throat in the breeding season leading to a common incorrect name of "Bloodsucker"
here throat is not visible but u can see other images

their color changes with mood , normally they appear very normal and are not at all photogenic object
