"Gatomon," he began, his voice gentle, worried. "We could leave. Somewhere far away enough where he wouldn't find us. You'd be safe. There would be any more beatings. Never."

"Please...Wizardmon, not today," she groaned. She ached all over and she wanted nothing but peace...silence...rest.

"At least tell me why," he insisted.

"He would find us, I know he would."

"But--"

"He'd find us. No matter where we went...no matter how far...he'd find us, and he'd punish us and I don't want you to get hurt because of me." Her eyes, normally a deep, bright blue, gleaming with life and spunk, were glazed and lifeless. "Please. Not now." And then she closed her eyes, her ears twisted back.

And so he fell silent, drawing his cape around her limp form and drawing her close.

I COULDN'T WAIT. SORRY ;_;

Two nights ago my muse struck and I spent several hours typing the beginning of a oneshot I'm working on when I should have been sleeping. Ugh.

Anyways, it's not done yet, but have an excerpt, yes?

The funny thing is, the drawing was just sort of...random. But then I started thinking of a little background to it and a oneshot sort of developed :B

Wizardmon's cloak is a much darker blue-gray color than I normally paint it, but the paint (or paper or brush) wouldn't cooperate so I just kept layering thick layers of paint in an attempt to fix it and...well.

Anyways, the oneshot should be done in another two days or so. Sometime during the weekend at least. I still have to finish it and run it by my beta, after all xD

When it's finished, I'll upload a mini-painting with a link to the oneshot ^^ For now, you'll just have to wait~
