(I submitted two more deviations of GLOFITI typography monsters, check them out in my gallery!!)I'm in this Microsoft competition called Imagine Cup, a software-design challenge. Me and my three friends form Informatics are planning to make this digital-imaging-social-networking software called GLOFITI (GLOBAL GRAFFITI)...
Since I'm the only team member from graphic design, In this project I'm responsible for all visuals and graphic design stuff, including this proposal layout. This is the cover for our first GLOFITI proposal, done in Illustrator.
the 'G' monster is our GLOFITI logo & mascot... since i feel graffiti is kinda urban thingy, I these urban alphabet-monsters to be our proposal theme...

di photoshop, buka foto/ image, trus pilih
Image >> Mode >> Grayscale (hrs di grayscale dulu)
trus
Image >> Mode >> Bitmap (disini kalo lu pake layer, mau gak mau hrs di flatten)
di option box Bitmap nya, opsi Resolution gak usah diubah, tp di opsi Method pilih Halftone Screen klik OK
next di option Halftone Screen lu bebas settingnya (Tambah besar angka frequency tambah halus rasternya,, kalo angle sebaiknya 45derajat biar lebih halus jg, bentuk rasternya juga bisa diubah2 di opsi Shape)
Trus kalo udah balikin lagi mode nya ke Grayscale, trus ke RGB/CMYK... klo mau diwarnain pake Hue/Saturation atau Gradient Map deh
Kalo ga salah di Illustrator juga ada,, di opsi Filter atau Effect gitu,,, dia juga bisa bikin raster berwarna (jadi ada 4 warna titik CMYK gitu)
