Description
Charon in Metal Armor, because it's so much hotter than his lame-ass leather armor. I don't like the way this turned out because he seems to be pushing the right side of the picture more than the left, and if I hadn't cropped it his face would not have been centered....Grunge Texture by [link]

Awesome. Definitely captured the bad-assity of Charon--especially through the colorless eyes and concentrated shading on the right spiked shoulder armor pad thing. Somehow I'm a sucker for all the sulking, pissed-off-at-the-world, keep-it-to-themselves characters. Thanks for a great pic!

I do it a couple ways depending on the picture. In this one, I found a nice texture online somewhere and set it as a layer over the drawing. Then I add a mask layer, and (if it's white) use a black, low-hardness brush set to 50-60% opacity, and just keep layering on the black over the parts of the texture I want invisible, using less black over the edges (to create a blending look). After that's finished, I duplicate the texture, removing the mask, and set it to overlay (or color, depending on line art). Put this layer UNDER the texture with the mask, otherwise it will burn out the other layer. The overlay layer is for the purpose of making the line art the same color as the texture, and not grey.

I never had a problem getting money. Collect whiskey and alcohol (whiskey is good for collecting more things than you're capable of carrying.) I always collect things that cost more than 10 caps per pound (such as cartons of cigarettes, 2 lbs = 50 or something or 1:25) and sell them. Plus, I get money from all collectors, like Murphey = Sugar Bombs and Arlington Library = pre-war books. Selling unused ammo is a good way to get cash. I stick to grenades, shotgun, sniper rifle, and a few others, then sell everything else. Before you know it, you'll be reaping more money than you could ever use. My main character has over 40k cash just from selling collecting/selling cigarettes/ammo. There's nothing in the game that I'd need that kind of money for anyway....
