Yeah, Judy had a hard time finding a gift for Nick too.
I KNOW THIS IS A CHEESY COMIC, BUT I LIKE CHEESE SO SORRY NOT SORRY.
Also, this comic makes more sense(?) when you listen to "Humbug” by Owl City as you read, unless you’re not an Owl City fan lol. I’m not either, but this song was too cute and I had to do something with it.

How was this not in my favorites until now? I remember seeing this last year and it was just amazing!!! So a rather late "THIS IS AWESOME!!!" for you for this.

Wow...this is truly amazing, spectacular, beautiful and heartwarming! The artwork is simply stunning - the attention to detail, the colour scheme, the backgrounds, but most of all? I just love how you captured their expressions so accurately that I can feel the emotions radiating from it. I listened to the song "Humbug" while reading this comic, and it's absolutely flawless. I could visualize the entire story as if it were an entire animated clip, especially the 10th panel from the top with the lyrics:
"I wander around the store again and again
But all I do is shrug
Cause I don't have a clue what to get you
And I'm ready to say, "Bah Humbug!"And as I read towards the end, starting from the panel where Nick wrapped himself up, until the final panel, the last line of the song coincided perfectly with the last line in the last panel.
This has got to be my favourite Nick & Judy comic ever. I can't praise you enough for this...perfect comic in every way. Thank you so much, for such an enjoyable and touching read. You've managed to combined beautiful artwork, a sweet and emotion-invoking plot, and to top it all off, a very meaningful song together with it (I think you've given me a new favourite song!). How long did it take you to complete this?

Oh my, I can't thank you enough! I fell in love with the song after the first minute of hearing it, so I just had to do something with it. I was originally planning to do one single artwork with Nick under the Christmas tree, wrapped in gift wrap with Judy just looking at him with love, but then I started picturing different scenarios with Nick trying to find the perfect gift as I had this song on repeat. Eventually, I sketched out the storyboard, as if I was planning a music video with Nick and Judy lol, and I got carried away as you can see. 😂 This took about a week to make, so it was quite an experience.

My goodness, just one week and you've managed to create this level of awesomeness! It would likely take me one week just for one panel! I have to ask - this is done digitally, right? Thank goodness you got carried away with this artwork! It turned out so good!!
Heh, by the way, I have an interest in studying animation in the future (I'm in the last year of high school now), so who knows? With your permission, I just might like to try my hand at turning this beautiful comic strip into a short animated clip in the years to come!

How did I miss this? (wait. i was working 10hr a day at that point) This takes my breath away! Not cheesy but cuts to the heart of what we are all want in a relationship. AND that warm cuddle we want to give and receive all year long.
