Description
This is an old one by me. I wanted to make a Shaolin monk that had gone the...well...bad way. Like the Sith on Star Wars. I like the overall design, but it needs some cleaning up.I just looked at this again, and decided I didn't like it. For one, the legs are way too long, which is kind of normal for me. Maybe I should just accept it as one of my stylistic quirks or something. The broadsword he's holding is also too short in my opinion. The only thing I do like is the overall character concept and coloring. I really like how the green spiky round thing on his robe turned out. Since I don't like how it turned out, I may redo it in the future when I have time.

The long legs isn't a bad thing. It does make your characters look older and I see some pro's make longer legs for a more mature look. This definently looks like an adult in his late 20's or 30's. The red bands you gave him make him look more evil, warm colors usually do that. Making him bald was a good idea since most monk are. With the flowing belt you get more of a sense of motion, nice choice. Last thing I'd like to comment on is the swords you created. The one in his hand looks good, good design. The one on his back also looks good, nice handle. The one in his hand may be a bit small but whoever looks at this would have no idea, they would think of it as just a different type of sword. All in all, ver nice and awesome colors you chose.

I REALLY like that idea! "Monk gone bad". I definitely haven't seen every kung fu movie in the world, but it doesn't strike me as an idea oft used. Maybe because it's be sacreligious or sumfin.
Good concept! He looks very Fu Man Chu, though... I know, I know... it's the 'stache.
The sword he's holding, however, is the right length for a Chinese knife (or short butterfly sword). Saw Jackie use a bunch of them in his My Stunts DVD. The length is correct.
As for leg length-- if the body is 4 heads long (crown to crotch), so should the legs be. A 'leggy supermodel' would have 4 1/2 head long legs. Many comics artists use that measurement *or longer*. So it all depends on your style.

Nicely drawn and designed, my main critique would be that the hands looks a bit on the small side, and the legs seems very long compared to the torso.

That is super awesome, I love the costume. I suck at costuming, and it's always awesome to see such good examples out there.
