Well, that is nothing a good bit of research cannot help. But there is always the off-chance that my guess ins correct, and that Fluttershy is an orphan.

I actually just looked it up on the MLP hub, and I could not find any hints in any episodes to Fluttershy having a set of parents. Same thing with Scootaloo. And it was hinting that Applejack's parents are diseased as well, but she still has her grand mother.

I like to think AJ's parents are dead too. Also, with the Stetson hat she wears, it might as well be from her father. I was kinda hoping for seeing the Mane Six's parents (Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, and Scootaloo's) this season.. Ah well. There's always Season 5

We saw that Dash's parents had a brief cameo in one of her many stories of the "Sonic Rainboom," but I would like to meet the parents of Fluttershy and Scootaloo.

Or guts and blood be thrown all over the place O_O Hah, I'm just thinking realistically XD And since it's cartoon logic/fantasy, I'm sure Spitfire would not like having a large belly with something alive in it >_> I'd like to think Twilight zapped Dashie with a shrinking spell, and hopefully would get the Pegasus out in time before the digestion starts..
