Hey guys,

May I introduce you to my newest OC, Grace Martinez? She's my newly developed Resident Evil OC who I am still improving. Since I am back into the RE fandom since just a few days I have to catch up quite a lot before I'll upload her BIO. The reason is that I want her BIO to be without mistakes and therefore I am currently binge-watching Let's Plays to all RE games I can find.

However, there are some information I can already share with you (though it's really just the basics and still could be changed later ^^')

WOW, exactly five months after last editing Grace's BIO, I finally add something. That was absolutely not unnecessarily long :'D
But well, at least you get so read some (aka two) of her skills/ talents and her morals/ ethics as a teenager before her infection. Better than nothing, right? Honestly, though, I have a feeling I really should work more on her as well. So how about I try to draw her again tomorrow after work? Sounds like a plan to me, right? Right!
Alright, so the next drawing I'll work on will be Grace, yay (I hope I'll draw her neither too young or old - looking ^^')

Physical Appearance
As a young adult, Grace had a rather narrow body stature: She was slim but of average height (being 1.68m tall) and weak pronounced muscles. Her reddish-brown hair was worn in a bob hairstyle with a side crest to the right side. Grace's brown eyes were also darker than after her infection.
When she sneaked into the Umbrella facility of Rockford Island, Grace wore a brown leather choker around her neck and a cardigan above a shirt. She also wore a simple jeans and sneaker.
After obtaining two firearms from two Umbrella employees, she was also seen carrying them in two holsters.

When Grace was infected with the t-Veronica Virus, she tried to end her life by shooting herself. However, her attempt failed due to the Virus already having spread too far inside her body, preventing her from dying. However, the wound scarred and can be seen on the underside of her chin.

Years after Grace's infection with the t-Veronica Virus, her body appears to be broader than before. She's no longer as slim as before her infection and her muslces are noticeably more pronounced. Due to Grace's increased muscle mass, her height has increased as well. She now weights 75kg, which is more than before. She's also gotten taller, being 1.77m tall instead of 1.68m.
Her complexion had become paler and she received a scar on the underside of her chin, due to her attempted suicide in the Rockfort Island facility. Grace's eyes are of a lighter brown than before and sometimes a red outline can weakly be seen around her iris.

During her first appearance after her infection (Operation Javier), Grace wore a white blouse underneath her leather jacket, as well as a black choker around her neck. She's also seen carrying a pair of black sunglasses with her at all times.
Grace also wears a jeans combined with a belt and two weapon holsters around her thighs. Her hair has grown longer, reaching to her shoulders and is worn in a ponytail. She still wears her hair in a sidecrest to the right.

After she was deemed trustworthy and became a member of the BSAA, Grace was mostly seen wearing a ligh tblue pullover with light blue linings. She wears fitting trousers and combat boots. She's still wearing her black choker around er neck and her sunglasses are also hanging from the collar of her pullover in order to protect her eyes in thunderstorms or other situations with changing lights.
When Grace isn't on the battefield, she wears two weapon holsters for her Berrettas around her thighs, two ammo holster around the height of her chest and upper body and another holster on her back for a combat knife. She was seen wearing these clothings when Piers brought Chris back to the BSAA, where she welcomed both men.
Her hairstyle is slightly changed: While she still wears her hair in a ponytail, the strands framing her face are slightly shorter and more detailed.

At least since 2012, Grace is mostly seen wearing her BSAA uniform, which consists of her light blue pullover, a beighe combat vest to protect herself and the same brownish-beige pants and boots the other team members wear. Her vest has six pockets for ammo and healing items. Grace also has a combat knife attached to it and wears a radio set on her back. Around both her upper legs are holster strapped, in which she carries her firearms. Her sunglasses are hanging from the collar of her vest and hidden behind some hairstrands is her ear piece.

At the age of 40, Grace is seen wearing a blue, two colored jacket with the insignia of the BSAA on either side of her arms. She also wears black gloves, black trousers and black army boots. Grace wears an ear piece with a microfone on on her left ear and her reddish-brown hair is let down and reaches towards her shoulder blades. She carries two weapon holster on her upper body and another one strapped around her right leg. She also carries a belt with varies pockets around her hips

Additional info to Grace's appearance during Resident Evil 5
When the t-Veronica Virus is more active than usual, Grace's skin pales even more and veins appear on her face and arms. Her whole appearance changes and her looks becomes less human-like.
Depending on how active the t-Veronica Virus is, her right arm (where she had been infected with the t-Veronica Virus) becomes thicker and kind of scaly, with her hands deforming slightly. When the Virus took control over almost half her body, Grace's skin becomes scalier and thuse harder than human skin.
After completely mutated, Grace's appearance is weakly resembling her usual self: Her hands look more like claws and her legs become longer, deforming as well. Her mouth, nose and eyes also start to look less human-like and her whole body is covered with smaller and bigger scales. The red outlines around her iris intensify and the scar on the underside of her chin can clearly be seen.

About her
Personality:
As a 18 years old student, Grace thought that bad things would only happen in the news or to other people but not to a hard-working person from a good house like herself. This meants that Grace was at first terrifyed when she realised in what kind of situation she was in (the outbreak of the t-Veronica Virus). Being taught to stay loyal to the morals and ethics she developed, Grace tried to follow the teachings of her mother and tried to follow her own morals, which can be seen when she travels to Rockfort Island to help Steve & Mr. Burnside, thinking that what her parents did was horrible and immoral, leaving her quite horrified and disillusioned that her mother of all people would participate in something like the betrayal of a colleague. Still, as soon as she began investigating the weird letter she had found, the 18 years old girl saw herself more often abandoning her own morals and ethics. This lead to Grace feeling conflicted, since it felt like she was breaking her word to her mother.
Due to her parent's work for Umbrella, Grace learnt to be independent and that the only way to earn their attention was by working hard for school (and thus, bringing home good school performances and grades). Secretly wishing her parents would spent more time with her than at work, Grace was even more motivated to study hard. This lead to her becoming used to spending most of her time alone and studying, while also becoming a bit of a loner in the progress; due to her independence and scholar-like work morals.
Grace was also shown to be quite intelligent and a quick learner, since she was able to solve various different kind of riddles and puzzle. She also displayed the ability to focus on important things, although she at first may be terrified (as it can be seen during the t-Veronica Virus outbreak).However, in order to act properly, Grace needs time to plan. That means without enough time to analyze and plan ahead, Grace has problems to adapt to a new, unforseen situations and act right away. This means that if she is caught off-guard, Grace needs some time to develop a new strategy (as it could be seen when she wasn't able to use her firearms although she had seen the Umbrella employee's using them, being sure that she would be able to do so as well).

Under the influence of Albert Wesker and as a member of H.F.C., Grace does not display many emotions nor personality traits. She's mostly seen with a stoic, emotionless expression, even when fighting. This is also mirrored in the way Grace speaks; Her voice is rather monotonous, not changing in loudness or the way it sounds (higher, lower or deep).
It is shown in her interactions with Wesker and later Excella, that brainwashed Grace is extremely loyal and follows her orders without questioning them and makes it her priority to fulfill whatever mission she's assigned to. Besides the fullfilment of her mission and the successful return to Wesker, Grace does not care for much; Neither what happens to her targets nor her own team, which shows her as a cruel and uncaring person.

Once she's free of Albert Wesker's influence, Grace slowly progesses what happened to her and more or less sucessful adapts to her second chance, though she felt out of place for a long time. Once she came to terms with what happened to her, it is shown that Grace values privacy, meaning that she likes to decide how much is revealed about her and what is concealed from others. This can also be seen for her romantic love live: While Grace values intimacy (such as going on dates and holding hands), she needs to trust the other person before being comfortable in participating in intimate activities.

Usual a calm and collected, though zynical individual with a dry sense of humor when the when the t-Veronica virus is less active, Grace has poor social skills due to all those years she spent as Wesker's test subject and subordinate. Because of that, she often appears as rude or insensitive due to the things she said. Because of that, she colides more often with the people in her environment than people would assume. Additionally to that, Grace becomes sullen and somewhat unfriendly to others when the virus is more active and noticeable.
She strongly believes in fighting Bioterrorism and is a devoted fighter, something she shares with the Captain of her team, Chris Redfield. Grace completes her assignments for the B.S.A.A. with great care, trying to keep whoever she's assigned alongside to alive and uninjured, even if it means riksing getting hurt herself.
Fitting to this, Grace soon becomes known for her „I don't care” - attitude in terms of her physical health. This attitude comes from the fact that injuries and wounds are automatically healed by Grace's body, without the need of herbs or medical treatment. However it should be noted that Grace doesn't think she's above the need of it, it's in fact more so that Grace thinks the usage of it would be a waste since her wounds heal thanks to the enhanced t-Veronica virus in her body.
Still, Grace will use herbs and medical treatment on some occassions, for example after she was exposed to fire or heated places, since fire and heat are her weaknesses (alongside bright light directed at her eyes/ face and the change from bright light to absolute darkness).

Morality/ Ethics:
Before she was infected with the t-Veronica Virus, Grace had a decent Morality Code and ethical values. Grace's morality included to be dependable and respectful towards others because. She figured that if she wanted to depend on others and wanted to be treated with respect, she had to be a role model and act like this herself.
On the other hand, her ethical values before her infection included to respect other people's property, refraining from violence against another and to treat others with civility. However, once confronted with the t-Veronica Virus, Grace had to violate against those values in order to survive, by stealing firearms and shooting.

Trivia:
- With Grace's parents being researcher for Umbrella, it is possible that they died during the Raccoon City outbreak in 1998. They were given a task and ordered into another city shortly before Grace left to save Steve Burnside. They weren't seen afterwards.

- To make dealing with the whole situation easier for Grace, she and TerraSave member Audrey began living in a WG in 2010. Audrey helped her coping with everything that helped and supported her decision to join the BSAA later the same year, despite not thinking that it was a wise decision.
-> In 2011, the two friends adopted a young Appenzeller Sennenhund (engl. Appenzell Cattle Dog), which they named Hajo. It is Grace who makes sure that Hajo is getting enough opportunities to run and exhaust himself, usually running with him through a forest or a nearby park. When Grace is on a mission, that task goes to Audrey.

- Grace is surprisingly messy. She often throws her shoes somewhere and hangs her jacket around a armrest. Her friends (Chris, Rebecca, Claire, Nadia, Damian and J.D.) and even her WG-partner have all stumbled across some of her stuff at least once. Only her weapons are always at a certain place.
-> She is friends with the other team members of "Silver Daggers" (Nadia, Damian and J.D. [Resident Evil: Vendetta]) and tends to meet them more or less regularly to watch the TV series "The Breaking Bad", despite being no big fan of the series.
-> Grace knows Rebecca Chambers, because it had been her who had examined her blood and observed Grace's "condition" in 2009 and the first quartal of 2010. It was Rebecca's report that allowed Grace to start over. They befriended some time after Grace was no longer viewed as a threat and are in contact with each other.

- Grace reads and enjoys classical literature. She has many books in a bookshelf in the shared living room.
-> Her reading classical literature is how she befriended J.D.

- She doesn't like flashing lights or when photos are made with flashlight. She is also no big fan of thunderstorms, since the change from light to dark is one of her weaknesses.

-> SPOILERS FOR VILLage:
During her mission in 2021, Grace encountered one of the 4 Lords, Donna and was hallucinating after inhaling pollen of infected plants. Hallucinating, Grace was haunted by the image of Albert Wesker, who tormented her, using her knowledge that something was wrong with the BSAA to his advantage. She was eventually found by her husband Chris Redfield, who brought her into safety before he continued his mission. Grace watched from afar the events surrounding Ethan Winters and Mother Miranda and later left alongside her team, Mia Winters and Mia's daughter Rosemary.

No, I haven't forgotten to color Grace's skin. She developed a pale complexion after Code Veronica which is why I colored her skin less than I would usual. She's between 30 and 36 years old in this drawing. If someone is really into RE and wouldn't mind helping me out, I'd appreciate it. I already have an idea for Grace but I am not sure if I considered everything (which is why I am binge-watching the LPs). So any help or advice would be welcome ^^

[A/N 25. 08. 2018]: Phew, I added some more information to Grace, and maybe you can put some things together about what happens to Grace over the years?
Well, I'll add her background and what exactly happens to and with her very soon (hopefully). I am still sorting out some things and found a plothole I hadn't noticed before. But well, I'm sure I'll be able to fix that very soon and when that's done, I'll upload her background and depending on how much I've written, I'll eventually upload the prologue to her story ^^
But for now that's all the information I can provide ^^' What are your thoughts?

[A/N 16. 09. 2018] I added Grace's personality when she's under the influence of Wesker and afterwards. I also tried to include how her asexuality would "affect" her by giving one example. I have a few more ideas how it could "affect" Grace's daily live but I am not sure whether or not I should write it. But I am sure that I'll be able to figure it out
And please do not feel offended by the " ". I think asexuality is something completely normal, like being hetero, trans, bi or gay but while writing the paragraphs, I did not know how else to explain/ write it. If you have suggestions how I can write it differently I'd love to hear and improve the passages. Thank you in advantage!

By the way: I began writing the eight chapter of the FanFiction. I still struggle with writing the POV of other characters and Im a little bit slowed down because of that. BUT I try my best!
It will take some time, but I'll definitely will finish the FF ^^

Still, Grace will use herbs and medical treatment on some occassions, for example after she was exposed to fire or heated places, since fire and heat are her weaknesses (alongside bright light directed at her eyes/ face and the change from bright light to absolute darkness).

Morality/ Ethics:
Before she was infected with the t-Veronica Virus, Grace had a decent Morality Code and ethical values. Grace's morality included to be dependable and respectful towards others because. She figured that if she wanted to depend on others and wanted to be treated with respect, she had to be a role model and act like this herself.
On the other hand, her ethical values before her infection included to respect other people's property, refraining from violence against another and to treat others with civility. However, once confronted with the t-Veronica Virus, Grace had to violate against those values in order to survive, by stealing firearms and shooting.

Trivia:
- With Grace's parents being researcher for Umbrella, it is possible that they died during the Raccoon City outbreak in 1998. They were given a task and ordered into another city shortly before Grace left to save Steve Burnside. They weren't seen afterwards.

- To make dealing with the whole situation easier for Grace, she and TerraSave member Audrey began living in a WG in 2010. Audrey helped her coping with everything that helped and supported her decision to join the BSAA later the same year, despite not thinking that it was a wise decision.
-> In 2011, the two friends adopted a young Appenzeller Sennenhund (engl. Appenzell Cattle Dog), which they named Hajo. It is Grace who makes sure that Hajo is getting enough opportunities to run and exhaust himself, usually running with him through a forest or a nearby park. When Grace is on a mission, that task goes to Audrey.

- Grace is surprisingly messy. She often throws her shoes somewhere and hangs her jacket around a armrest. Her friends (Chris, Rebecca, Claire, Nadia, Damian and J.D.) and even her WG-partner have all stumbled across some of her stuff at least once. Only her weapons are always at a certain place.
-> She is friends with the other team members of "Silver Daggers" (Nadia, Damian and J.D. [Resident Evil: Vendetta]) and tends to meet them more or less regularly to watch the TV series "The Breaking Bad", despite being no big fan of the series.
-> Grace knows Rebecca Chambers, because it had been her who had examined her blood and observed Grace's "condition" in 2009 and the first quartal of 2010. It was Rebecca's report that allowed Grace to start over. They befriended some time after Grace was no longer viewed as a threat and are in contact with each other.

- Grace reads and enjoys classical literature. She has many books in a bookshelf in the shared living room.
-> Her reading classical literature is how she befriended J.D.

- She doesn't like flashing lights or when photos are made with flashlight. She is also no big fan of thunderstorms, since the change from light to dark is one of her weaknesses.

-> SPOILERS FOR VILLage:
During her mission in 2021, Grace encountered one of the 4 Lords, Donna and was hallucinating after inhaling pollen of infected plants. Hallucinating, Grace was haunted by the image of Albert Wesker, who tormented her, using her knowledge that something was wrong with the BSAA to his advantage. She was eventually found by her husband Chris Redfield, who brought her into safety before he continued his mission. Grace watched from afar the events surrounding Ethan Winters and Mother Miranda and later left alongside her team, Mia Winters and Mia's daughter Rosemary.

No, I haven't forgotten to color Grace's skin. She developed a pale complexion after Code Veronica which is why I colored her skin less than I would usual. She's between 30 and 36 years old in this drawing. If someone is really into RE and wouldn't mind helping me out, I'd appreciate it. I already have an idea for Grace but I am not sure if I considered everything (which is why I am binge-watching the LPs). So any help or advice would be welcome ^^

[A/N 25. 08. 2018]: Phew, I added some more information to Grace, and maybe you can put some things together about what happens to Grace over the years?
Well, I'll add her background and what exactly happens to and with her very soon (hopefully). I am still sorting out some things and found a plothole I hadn't noticed before. But well, I'm sure I'll be able to fix that very soon and when that's done, I'll upload her background and depending on how much I've written, I'll eventually upload the prologue to her story ^^
But for now that's all the information I can provide ^^' What are your thoughts?

[A/N 16. 09. 2018] I added Grace's personality when she's under the influence of Wesker and afterwards. I also tried to include how her asexuality would "affect" her by giving one example. I have a few more ideas how it could "affect" Grace's daily live but I am not sure whether or not I should write it. But I am sure that I'll be able to figure it out
And please do not feel offended by the " ". I think asexuality is something completely normal, like being hetero, trans, bi or gay but while writing the paragraphs, I did not know how else to explain/ write it. If you have suggestions how I can write it differently I'd love to hear and improve the passages. Thank you in advantage!

By the way: I began writing the eight chapter of the FanFiction. I still struggle with writing the POV of other characters and Im a little bit slowed down because of that. BUT I try my best!
It will take some time, but I'll definitely will finish the FF ^^
