This is amazing! I was just a few days back looking into a song I had heard and loved for so long and realised it was sung by Nina Simone, one wonderful singer!
What a glorious and beautiful tribute to her. Makes me think of the coffee drunk as a person listens to her work in a cafe, morphing, shaping into a rich illustration of her on a napkin. Ah. Music videos in my head again... XD haha.
But truly, this is beautiful. The use of negative space is particularly wonderful!

This is incredible! How the watercolor forms the values of light inside it; it looks as if there is light shining on her from above in a dark-lit room.
