Ao no Exorcist!!
This would be my "début" art submission for DA. It's my first art work as Kureji noa To so I hope u guys would give me some feedback on this fan art. This anime is awesome and the story is fresh and interesting. The character in the above is SHURA KIRIGAKURE who was an apprentice of Rin Okumura's father (Paladin of Exorcists). Upon the death of SHIRO FUJIMOTO (Paladin), she decided to teach Okumura how to control his devil powers.
* That's the short history of this character. The best part of her is her skills and "B" (u know what I meanXD)

Yeah, that's her signature. There are not many anime girls who have tattoo extending from the check all the way to the belly button area. Super cool!

Cool! This is a good start to your comeback. The highlight of this picture are the bright warm colours which do look fantastic. The environment looks impressive as well as adding the logo of the story this fanart is base on, as well as your own logo, was a good idea. Maybe I should try that with my fanart. Adding the logo from the stories my pictures are base on that is.
The only problem, however, is that Shura lower body and lower arms looks stiff and she does not look like she is apart of the environment but instead looks a bit like she was pasted there.
Other than that this is a great illustration. By the way, what is that device in the background that is radiating blue light?

It's been like ages since we had a chat. Yep, I'm back on track and ready to bust some arts! It seems like my skills sure have gone rusty after almost a year without practice. The logo is pretty much to identify my image and this should be a good start. You should definitely give it a try!
The theme of this art was evening and it seems like I managed to pull it off with the bg. As for the character, the skin shadows are totally off since I shaded it wrongly. Based on the light direction, there should be more shadow tone. Based on your feedback, I think the picture is too sharp that why it turned out to be too outstanding. It certainly is good to see the mistakes since I knew there was a weird element to it. XD
Oh, that blue light is actually the main character of the story. It's basically his silhouette while he is jumping into the air with his sword covered in blue flames.

Thanks! It's the power of photoshop! Normal paint brushes will not get u this effect so the magic to it is the Adjustments in photoshop. I wouldn't say altered but enhanced for a better experience. That's what most photographers do to their photos too.

They would normally give u photoshop 7 if I'm not wrong. It has all the basic function u would need if u r starting. Once u r confident that u can handle more, u should upgrade to photoshop CS series. Latest would be CS5.

its PS Elements 8. Yeah i'm sure it's basic PS. I like Illustrator better. I feel like i have more control over my work(fashion). I have SAI which is a great learning program

Oh, seems like they have upgraded it. Well, there are lots of different art tools but what makes a good artwork depends on whether which tool suits u best. SAI and CS are the tools which I prefer to combine but there are lots left to learn about it.
