In lieu of it's 30th anniversary, I will boldly admit, I will prefer this entry to the less than stellar Alien3 and Resurrection.
Stephen Hopkins did his best to create a decent entry. Glad Kevin Peter Hall (RIP) got to play another titular creature.
Jim and John Thomas returning as writers from the first film. And I will always give praise to the late great special effects and makeup artist Stan Winston.

Danny Glover was well above par as the lead Lt. Mike Harrigan. Ruben Blades and Maria Conchita were good in their roles too. And I was surprised when I first recorded this film on VHS years ago that Bill Paxton starred in this. His character Jerry Lambert was another good role.

Gary Busey's Agent Keyes was a good adversary for both Harrigan and the Predator. Him and Adam Baldwin's Garber.

A lesser cut and dry character was Robet Davi's Deputy Chief character.

The Predator AKA City Hunter in this film is one of my favs. Don't get me wrong, I hold much, much respect for the Jungle Hunter of the first film. City Hunter is younger and a tad brash, but is still a good hunter.

Amazed that Elpidia Carrillo (Anna) got a small cameo. Her photo was on one of the monitors of the OWLF trailer base.

The pro's I like of this film: I'm glad they expanded on the Predator or Yautja lore in this movie in other words offered more insight on some rules of their society so to speak. A scene were Mike goes to the cemetery to pay respects to Ruben's character Danny, friend on the force with Mike, a family drives up to pay respects to someone else, the child is told to stay in the car, but hops out and plays with his toy machine gun. City Hunter is there as well and has the child in it's laser sight. It lowers to the weapon, and through it's bio mask it regesters as a toy and it's targeting laser diminishes, arousing my curiosity to their rules.

Another major highlight for the film for me: after Harrigan slays City Hunter (impressive feat) a targeting laser comes upon him and the entire Lost Hunter crew de cloak surrounding Harrigan. And when you think it's over, in actuality, the Hunters just came to receive their fallen comrade and cloak again returning into the ship. The leader (Kevin Peter Hall again), gives Harrigan a token of respect for victory, an antique flintlock pistol from 1715, which means this particular Yautja is well over 250 years old. There is a comic detailing that event, a short story from Dark Horse, I forget. Look it up if you wish.

All in all, it wasn't groundbreaking but comparing this to the forementioned despised entries I've mentioned above, I'll take this. Plus, HUGE Predator fan ever since I saw the first film years ago. Both entries really are something.
