I've always seem to have issues with third entries in movie franchises. But don't get me wrong. I like some third entires: Return of the Jedi,
Back to the Future Part III, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, Die Hard with a Vengeance, Men in Black III, War for the Planet of the Apes and Army of Darkness.

But to take the only good thing from X-Men Apocalypse: y.yarn.co/7464c46a-7547-4722-b…
(Liked it when I saw in theaters, KNEW right off the bat what they were doing).

Digressing aside, back to the topic...

Despicable Me...when I saw previews for it on TV, I thought little of it. Then one day, I decided to give it a shot and I enjoyed it. Especially, the girls, Gru and especially DAS MINIONS. Fell in love with them just like the Penguins in Madagascar.

Saw Despicable Me 2 in theaters, my fav entry. I will admit better than the first and not jut cause of the minions.

Even saw the Minions movie five years ago, and while everyone claimed it to think it not good, I enjoyed it. It was a film that made me laugh and didn't need to be overdramatic.

Then upon hearing about the third entry and what I previewed from the first teaser trailer...
I don't know what to say. And reading the plot of the movie. It was just a mess.

And so, if possible wiping the slate clean. I'm in the directors chair and here's my version of Despicable Me 3.

- Gru becoming an agent for the AVL. It wound be an interesting side job.
I'm taking a big gamble with but with Gru becoming a secret agent, make it an homage to James Bond. Homage scenes from the movies.
I even thought of when Mr. Ramsbottom, Lucy and Gru go over the bad guys motives. Homaging Goldfinger, Gru will said: "I think it's time Mr. (villain) and I met—socially, of course."

- KEEP and I repeat keep Edith's ninja phase. I loved it from 2 and was disappointed it didn't follow into the next one.

- The Minons are in it, just don't give them all the movie time.

- The plot, having Gru go up against a formidable adversary, kind of like Auric Goldfinger. And the villains plot would be something indeed dangerous.

- For gear, have Lucy and Gru use gadgets from both AVL and Dr. Nefario. I think Dr. N would make a good gadget quartermaster. Plus, in the background, see Minions testing the gear (some with hilarous results) and some making them look cool.

- Margo and Agnes have had their turns in both movies, I want something like that for Edith but I can't think of anything.

- And for the climax have the girls, Dr. N, Minions, members of AVL and of course Gru and Lucy battle the main badguys forces while trying to stop his plot with the clock ticking. Really get the adrenaline and excitment going.

And keep of course heartwarming, action and funny moments. In spirit of the first two films.
