Once again, thank you all for the faves and comments! I'm unfortunately going to have to disable further comments because I've heard "omg she's supposed 2 b black u got it wrong!1!" one too many times and I'm sick of it, but for those of you who actually read and respected my comments, thank you

But please refrain from commenting about any "inaccuracies"-- this is the way I pictured the scene and Rue; I wasn't necessarily trying to be absolutely 100% book-accurate!Oh man, this picture may hold the record for longest time passed between start and finish. I sketched this and started inking it about this time last year while studying abroad in Japan. Just got around to finishing it today.
Rueeee! You can't tell me you didn't cry when she died! Her hair took me foreverrrr.
I hope my picture does her character justice ;A;

I got a late start on the books and finished the first one yesterday. When I read the part when Rue died, I was crying!!!!! She was my favorite....
This is amazing!!!But I would like to point out one little detail: I'm pretty sure Rue was stabbed with the spear through her back, so the spear head would be showing...And Katniss removed the spear before she covered Rue with the flowers... Right? Sorry for my extreme attention to detail... It's still amazing though :3

Haha, was she? By the time I drew the picture it'd been a while since I'd finished the book. And like I said in the description, I wasn't trying to be super accurate, I just wanted to draw the scene how I pictured it. But since your comment was original and not the standard "omg Rue is black, why didnt you draw her black enough?" It's all good lol.

Of course I cried when she died. She is one of the best characters from "The Hunger Games", if not the best.

I started crying then Katniss started singing to her. I loved Rue and I love that Katniss sang to her and covered her in flowers. But the pic is great!
