Once again, thank you all for the faves and comments! I'm unfortunately going to have to disable further comments because I've heard "omg she's supposed 2 b black u got it wrong!1!" one too many times and I'm sick of it, but for those of you who actually read and respected my comments, thank you

But please refrain from commenting about any "inaccuracies"-- this is the way I pictured the scene and Rue; I wasn't necessarily trying to be absolutely 100% book-accurate!Oh man, this picture may hold the record for longest time passed between start and finish. I sketched this and started inking it about this time last year while studying abroad in Japan. Just got around to finishing it today.
Rueeee! You can't tell me you didn't cry when she died! Her hair took me foreverrrr.
I hope my picture does her character justice ;A;

I actually CRIED when she died, and also the scene where the whole district 11 pays respect to Katniss in the second book, Catching Fire. Rue's my favorite character of all books! And...this is very well done!

This part was so sad I mean she was so sweet but then the stupid guy had to kil her I bet when the movie comes out (March 23, 2012) everyone is going to be sniffing and crying on this scene.

Rue was my favourite character!!! I was up at 1:00 in the morning reading it, 'cause I couldn't put it down. And I was sobbing so hard when Rue died!!!!!

My god, I loved/hated this scene! When I first read it, I literally sobbed for about 30 minutes straight. And still every time I've read it (re-read it 7 times now), I always either choke up with tears forming or I just have to skip over it cause it's so sad!
But seriously, this is a beautiful drawing. I love the way the hair is just flowing around her and she's crying. I love this beyond belief. Thank you.

RUE DYING WAS SOOOO SAD!!!!! I cried. Honestly, I would make a PERFECT Rue, with the brown skin and dark brown hair and eyes. I'm even a ninja like her and can climb almost anything and I'm 11 lol

When I was reading this part of the book, it was after a standardized test and we were all being silent. I almost screamed and I think I teared up a bit. (It was impossible not to!)
