Description
A tutorial I made for GIMP.This tutorial requires decent knowledge of GIMP. You might be able to use it with Photoshop, too, but I really wouldn't know.

There is a toolbar that you can choose to enable or disable that comes with Gimp, in the toolbar there is a tab called "Layers" and when you click on that tab you have a menu called Modes. Click on it and there is your Soft Light and Overlay, and much more.

If I remember rightly, a stock image is just a normal picture.
Really nice tutorial, I'll try this one later.

Very nicely done, though your pictures don't really show whats going on too well so it took a lot of trial and error to get things right. Also when you say add scanlines, Is this a special filter you have? I have the most up to date version of Gimp and it has nothing like this (though I compensated by creating a thick grid and overlaying it, then cutting out some jagged lines with the bezier curve which seemed to work out nicely. Very nice job anyways though
