Plum and Val have never gone to a corn maze before, so here they go on an adventure!! Which was a terrible idea because Val has negative sense of direction and Plum is ready to fly away and leave him forever, she hates how the corn stalks seem to be...closing in on them. And also how the crows seem to keep flocking around their area more and more....Dialogue from
Val: haha Plum it's like this crow is stalking us, amirite
Val: wow sorry that joke was pretty corny wasn't it

Plum tried to fly away straight after that but her short wings couldn't let her lift off at a fast enough speed to escape Val's grasp.
On a more serious note this was me trying to draw in a background other than a forest, as much as I love forests, I gotta practice other stuff too.

This is absolutely adorable, everything from the characters expressions to the art style itself and even the little dialogue is humorous while giving a good look at their personalities. Also, I have always wanted to go through a corn maze (which you'd think I have, since I live in a farming state like Kentucky) do I like this piece even more. Great job, this looks fantastic

uwah, i like the spooky gloomy background!! it feels very autumn-y!! >u< the painterly style of the coloring is very nice too :3 this looks like a scene from a childrens book, i think you would make a fantastic illustrator~

Ahh thank you!! The painting style takes a long time but I think it's well worth it because I can control every detail! My original dream was to be a children's book illustrator QvQ sad it didn't happen but I'm trying hard in my free time!
