Contest entry for: After at least 2 months, I completed this contest entry. I have to say over all I am really pleased how it came out. Each is interesting and fun to look at, at least, I hope you'll agree with me.

[EDIT] Sorry, I needed to explain a little bit about the pieces. I tend to forgot things sometimes, so here is some more thoughts/details about each piece.

BTW I happened to actually complete these in order though sketched them out of order.

Hairstyle: I challenged myself on this piece since I added the little color shadows/highlights that didn't match her hair. I don't think anything particularly inspired this piece. I just love getting a side view well good looking and her hair, well it's curly-ish and I love trying to work with that. The flower...that was necessary. Necklace, because I like accents even if the piece wasn't about that and background because I wanted to try something new.

Evening gown: Another challenging myself, this one was actually finished on my notebook since my desktop monitor had died at the time. At first I was going to put it in the green/blue scheme but the more I looked at it the more I went, I think if I went with the goldfish color that would look way better. And after much work because let me tell you the line art was a b*tch I'm super pleased with it. The color inspiration came from a mermaid piece I did earlier int he year. The outfit design was just suppose to have a mermaid/fish feel in general, like when you think those 1940s swimming scenes in musicals.

Swimsuit: The actually suit idea came from a combo of like three different suits I saw in random episodes of SM, but of course adding a flare that with be something Michiru would wear. I know she doesn't really get into the bikini much, but in the back of my mind I thought, if Haruka said to win this you need the bikini, she would do it. I wanted to give her nice shoes since well she isn't wearing much and accessories because those help make the piece. Her tan because in a suit and being Michiru she needed a tan. Lastly her hair, because being in a suit her hair needed to be up like she was going swiming or in a suit. I think I really nailed the look.

Period dress: My personal favorite and the one I challenged myself the most on while also achieving the most success as the result. I immediately wanted something "turn of the century" when I saw that time period was one of the requirements. Surprisingly that was the easy part. (I think I might have to do a sepia old photo look to this one at some point) When I finally got to the coloring part, this rich sort of mauve/purple/plum? color came to mind and I ran with it so far I thought I was going to fall over. That wasn't the important part though, but the "pin stripe" detail. Luckily for me I went with a semi good idea and it worked. Go go SAI VECTOR TOOL! Cause I really feel like it added rather than took away. And the shading, <3 The background isn't quite where I want it to be, but if you noticed I'm not really very good with background so for now it will stay. Michiru is going for a night out on the town and going to live up ever moment of it...IN STYLE!

Wedding dress: I am going to admit this is my least favorite piece. I probably would have designed something completely different if it had been another character. Michiru just screams sexy/sensual and I wanted a dress to try and reflect that. Underneath is suppose to be underwear, I made it darker because I don't know about you, but I don't think she's a virgin and I thought it would stand out more. I also went with blue flowers because white or red wouldn't have really fit in this piece. I also had some extra hassles because of my pen/tablet so it took longer than I wanted to complete, though it isn't my favorite I must say I love her big boss curl hair. "Haruka I'm ready~"
