This took me 3 weeks to finish. Now I know why I hardly ever draw detailed pictures. First time making a detailed group picture and I'm happy it's finally complete!'Reverie Chronicle' is an RPG game concept in development. It was an interesting challenge to create the characters as this was my first time designing fantasy RPG style outfits. These are prototype designs and will be reworked over time.
Introducing the characters - On the left is Inku (a lancer), at the back is Kaitos (an assassin), the girl is Inez (a mage), and finally at the front is Alnir (a swordsman).

Wow, the coloring is awesome, so pretty to look at.
I would mention, though, that the fellow at the top's head is not deep enough (width from this angle). There should be another distance equal to the one between his ear and the front of his face between his ear and the back of his face.

You have much more patience than I do >< And how can you say your un imaginative O.O That background suits the image brilliantly, it gives a sense on mystical (trust me, I'm a graphic designer ^_-) and the characters positioning is fine ^_^ it contributes to the overall composition ^_^

I like this one. The composition ain't that boring to be honest. I like the general look of how everyoen is in a nice place, and looks like they are atleast trying to look interesting. The dude with the sword half-in its sheath is realy cool-looking I think. The sorceress girl scares me by her cuteness though. Pink. So much pink.....
Good picture overall I think. And I love the coloring. Lots of you guys about have great coloring skills I think.

Wow, I think I know what you mean about not doing detailed pictures so often. Such a picture would more than likely take me more than 3 weeks but you’re probably more interested in my comment about this picture than my thoughts wondering inside of my head, aren’t you? Anyway, let me just say that you’re naturally wonderful at what you do. Not only does the overall appeal of this picture look glossy and gleaming, all 4 of these character depict a different, unique sense of attitude, magnetism, and charisma. How you managed to express different emotions and various characteristics per person I think is beautiful. The fact that each character seems to have a different personally or trait about them I think is beautiful. The appearance of their outfits and exclusive clothing style I think is beautiful. Though it’s gonna be hard to mention everything splendid thing you did here, I’ll try just to please you. Besides, you deserve to really know everything you probably were trying to get out of this picture from someone else‘s point of view. Oh, but there’s something I feel I need say first… though it might be inappropriate for me to state this now… I’d like to apologize before I continue. The reason why I’m saying that I’m sorry is because I didn’t not live up to what I told you earlier. I stated that I would be looking forward to seeing more of your work and comment on your future art. With my new avatar you might not know what I am talking about. Since then, until now anyway I’ve done nothing to meet my statement. You may even think I’m being silly and what I’m saying is not necessary. Perhaps you’re a little confused, well I’m not sure. WOW!!!!! so beautiful! I love every detail in this pic and wish to accomplish something like this! Gosh this is VERY good! The details, the colors, it's the colors that get the attention really well! I like the different shadow textures you put on them, like on one area it's fuzzy and soft and then on another it's hard and shines somewhere around it. Just wonderful! A definite fav!

The implied lines lead so strongly to the left in this pic that it's almost distracting. I would try to balance the composition more in future pieces. Also, while I like the orange background best, the blue one is more appropriate for showcasing the characters themselves.

Are you saying that everything should be centered and somewhat symmetrical? Someone on DA before said that centered compositions is NOT GOOD
So I have no idea who to listen to...when it comes to art there is no absolute "right" or "wrong" way to do something, so I'll just go with the flow...thanks for the comment though ^_^

Implied lines = things that direct your eye to certain things in the piece. Since all the weapons are pointing in the direction of the top left corner, it feels a little top heavy. Also, the way the character with the sword is places off center to the left makes this effect even more noticable. In other words, next time I'd have some action on the right to pull the eye back over.
Centered compositions are generally boring and static, I agree. I'm just saying that you should have something on the right to counteract the heavy emphasis on the left side.
Also, it's important to remember that centered compositions, although many times boring, can also be appropriate to the piece. This picture is a composition that would actually benefit from being centered, in my opinion.
That's just my two cents - feel free to ignore, especially since your skills are waaaay superior to mine anyway

Well only two of the weapons are pointing to the top left (Kaitos and Inez's), but I'll take into account what you said and try and balance it out better next time.
As for the composition, when I look at the pic again I guess you're right about it being better off being completely centered as it does look a little distracting with it nearing the leftside more. Thanks for your time to comment my art and giving me constructive crits~

There are a few mistakes there, but hardly noticable. The CG itself is really nice, just love it.

FRIGGIN HELL! o.o! That's incredible, so detailed and shineh *_* How do you get the doge tool to do that on the hair? Whenever I try and get that effect it's disasterous

She goes over it with two different brush sizes with the pen tool: First brush it a couple of times with a thin point then again with a thicker one with a lower exposure setting (amount of brushing varies on exposure). Jeez, i really do have nothing better to do.

it's really good, you have paid a lot of attention to the detail, I esepcially like Inez's dress, the colours all work really well, so that no one character stands out radically from the others, it's very well blalanced.

jesus ur 3 weeks was well worth the time!!!, it looks awesome adding to fav for sure!, and probably stalk u as well muahaha. Also wow 4 characters that mustve taken forever, and i have problems trying to do 2 and i complain its taking too long lol but once again very very nicely done. A perfect pose by all the chars and the colouring is just superb
