I spent too much time on this -----Anyway, I've been wanting to draw a full on background and my OC Yusei, so this is the result.
I've always imagined Yusei being in some magical forest that has strange plants or stuff that lights up in the night
Yusei is made up of a lot of things related to me - personality, likes, and dislikes
Nighttime is a time of fear which is why Yusei is standing on the water - she is afraid of bodies of water. The fish going around her correspond to the night. The dark purple fish correspond to the darkness of the night and the light fish correspond to the moonlight. Yusei's powers are based off the night. I don't want to go too into detail, but that's a kinda general idea.
I hope I explained this well enough.
Other than that... I don't know if I did the lighting right, so I need to practice ;w;

I was trying to get the color scheme to be really similar and not all over the place, so I'm happy with that ;w;

Yusei is really one of my most thought out characters
Since usually when I make an OC but I never really gave any thought about their past so when someone asks I'm like oh no
