How Soren and Current got to this point is a long story. But let's just say that Current go his wings ripped off and his tattoos on his arms peeled off in an attempt to neutralize his powers (his ability to control air currents and wind were a pain to their enemies) (also their enemies didn't kill him because they are so-called "people-friendly" so they are not allowed to kill anyone and they are closely watched over this) All of this is so not clear but I don't feel like expaining the whole story

Soren came to save Current and he is dragging his dead weight around in the enemies' base. He kinda feels bad for not doing anything sooner, but he also fears the reaction of their mother if he doesn't bring his brother back home alive.
