I remember being proud of the lighting.

here's my critique, since it's encouraged:

Basically this is really good. The hands are my favorite parts, but I'd change a few things:
1) the nose is too far down, and should be little more centered. Also the sides of the nose (Around the nostril) should be bigger, because thats how anatomy works. xD
2) The face shape is a little wide, so I thinned it a little.
3) With the blue stuff coming from behind her, her hair would catch a lot more blue lighting, so I added some blue back lighting into the picture
4) It shows her summoning a light of sorts, so I made that light visible.
5) Lastly, I think the picture would look better with a bit of added texture, so I overlaid a concrete texture onto it. Thats just personal preference though.

1)My origional idea was to have her looking downwards, so I tried to put her face in perspective, but it didn't work all the way. So I agree that it should be higher on her face.
2)Directly from ear to ear across her face-that part seems to be consistant. You fleshed out her cheeks, which made her look a lot more human. I think I made her chin to pointy
3) I didn't even think about the blue part! I added it for more color, and didnt' consider that! : O !!
I like the texture over the background, at least...could you give me a link to what you used?

You do an excellent job with cast shadows, as in you know where they go and how dark they should be according to the light source. Anyway, I don't think you could mess up anything ^.^

lol, actually in my case it depends if my talent wants to work or not. i drew the silver surfer thing and then blah, i cant draw no more untill i get motivated again and my talent says i can, lol.
