I've recently been thinking about the ending to Wolf's rain, it's kinda beautiful yet incredibly sad. The first time I watched it I didn't really understand what was going on, I assumed they didn't make it and the world was never reborn. Watching it back it still manages to confuse me, but it does seem very bittersweet regardless of the outcome. Hige is my favorite character from Wolf's rain and (Spoiler!) it's so sad when he dies ;/
