Description
A tunnel between the two platforms at Nationaltheateret train station in Oslo, Norway.A panorama made out of 20 pictures taken in portrait format.
The rest of my metro/underground pictures can be found here
Entry for Zardos architecture contest [link]
Post-processing
Lightened, adjusted the wb and turned up the contrast a tiny bit on all the pictures in camera raw. Stitched them together with photoshop (automatic photomerge) and cropped. Added a curves layer for the whole picture (except for the coloured decorations on the wall), and one curves layer for the decoration.
Added a black and white layer set to screen (20%) on some parts of the wall/floor/roof. Also added two black and white layers for the whole picture except from the decorations. One set to overlay (100%) and one set to soft light (70%). Made some more minor curves adjustments on some parts of the picture.

I use automatic photomerge in Adobe Photoshop, but there are tons of other panoramic stitching programs out on the market (but I haven't tried any other, as the one in Photoshop works perfectly well for me )
The effect in this picture is a result of pictures taken with a wide-angle (this was taken with 18mm on a crop-sensor, but a lot of my panoramas are taken with an extreme wide-angle at 10mm), at a close range. I usually overlap a lot when I take wide-angle panoramas to make the transitions between the different pictures, and different perspectives, as smooth as possible.

This is amazing, I'm surprised it doesn't have more favourites.
I don't see how there's twenty pictures in there though, I can see maybe 6 fitting, unless you severely overlapped for safe measure

Thank you
I severely overlapped for safe measure . The perspective between the shots were so different that I had to

Wow! 20 photographs? That's quite a few. But it's well worth it, this is a great picture! I love the colors and the perspective.

Probably more than I needed, but as I took the pictures at 18mm and the perspective is pretty different between the shots, I wanted to be sure that I would get a smooth transition
And thank you, I'm glad that you liked it

I know that feeling, I take the same picture over and over again. It's always more than I need as well. I think you you did was probably neccessary to get that transition.
You're welcome!
