i used translucent clay mixed with a little white and i wrapped it around some red clay.

i used a clay thats wood color. and then i rolled it into the desired sheet thickness. and then i first cut a round using a round cutter for the base and then i cut little strips to create the 'basket' criss cross underneath. then i created the sides by cutting a strip, sorround the bottom piece and letting it stand. btw, the trick is to get the texture, u have to get a bbq stick and roll it on the, sheet of clay before you cut.
