Description
As the title says it's a first simple grayscale picture... Maybe i'll try it out more during school. Sorry, it's small - just a half of paper (had no thoughts with what I should fill it) but I'm satisfied with it because my mom was surprised when she saw the tree ( she's not the type which can be easily amazed).black pencil

It's pretty good! And indeed the tree is amazing!
Good first try with the grayscale
Different tipes of pencils will help to get more variety of tones and contrast.
The H pencils are harder and their trace is harder and lighter. The B pencils are softer and with darker traces.
I'll list the ones I know in order, probably there is more or not from the ones I know:
From the hardest to the softes: 2H < H < HB < 2B < 4B < 6B
Just like the colored pencils, the grafity pencils need patience and work with tones and contrast to get a nice effect.
Well, I said to much, Bye now!

Not too much. I know about soft and hard pencils - I have from H3 to B8 but I didn't have a chance to use them. That time i was visiting relatives and I just used what was under the hand (the black pencil).
Anyway, thanks for information and have a good day!
