Just out of curiosity, you first make a random background color and then draw something in the spur of the moment? There are no pencil marks, it really looks like those quick drawings that you don't give much thought and still look nice (exactly because you did it without thinking much)

Oil pastel pics are almost always with random background colours, unless I want warm or cold domineering colour, and I leave results to fate - no pencil involved

Not eyebrows, shoud be feathers. Sometime inΒ some book I remember seeing some species of hummingbird having long feathers on their head... Though, can't find such photos on net. Maybe my memory is playing with me

I thought It might just be creative licence, I do not know of any humming birds like that but I could be wrong.
