I was actually just rewatching this series and came across this episode a few days ago. Wan Shi Tong was a bad-ass owl.

I've always wondered epwhat happened to that scholar guy- you know, the one who decided to stay in there. I like to think he stayed in there safely, and Wan Shi Tong didn't hurt him cause he was only there to learn for learning's sake.
And I so wish that library actually existed.

I actually really liked this guy. He was like the caretaker of knowledge with that library that had pretty much every piece of knowledge available to man. It's such a shame that people kept abusing that knowledge to hurt others; I would have loved to see him and his library around for more than one episode :c
Then again, I guess with the situation at hand, it would've been disastrous if it was found by the wrong people. I still wonder what became of that scholar, though.
And I haven't commented on the actual artwork yet, derp.
I'm liking the really loose and sorta messy way of coloring here; although it's not the most refined style, it gets the job of giving us the sense of furry (well..I should say feathery) texture on its body.
But my critic is that maybe you should tone it down a notch for the areas around him. The leftover colors almost makes it looks like he's shedding a little in my eyes (but then again, the owl was prone to losing feathers in the show as well, pfff)
Other than that, I think it's good c:
The scruffy layers of feathers on the back of his neck looks especially nice, so well done!

i think he is the most BA spirit by far.
he might have some competition in LoK book 2, however...i've seen sketches of this new spirit that looks even more threatening the Koh, and that's saying something. O_e
