Description
Just a hopeful yet very improbable idea of Piers being rescued by the missing Rachael from the collapsing underwater facility at the end of RE 6.And then Finally. Piers Saves Rachael

still a nice thought though, Piers could control his body after his infection, maybe Rachael could have gain control and see piers killing the Helos and then she saved him like that.

I admit, this pic gives me the idea for a fic...
Picture the end of RE6: Neo-Umbrella is down, and the future is looking bright, but something lurks in the shadows.
Veltro, reinvented by a new yet unknown benefactor, readies itself to install a new world order, to finish what their predecessors started and cleanse the world. No one in power is aware of their existence, and the group prepares to launch its master plan.
Not all hope is lost. Heroes will emerge from the unlikeliest of places...
Billy Cohen, a Veteran that fights for justice,
HUNK, the former 'Mr Death', whom fights for his own benefit,
The remnants of 'The Wolfpack', each with their own reason to survive,

Just a quick question or two: how long do you think Rachael's secondary mutation took (I.e. the amount of time it took for the change and the return of her sense of self) and how long would it take for Piers to gain moderate control of the C in his system?

I'd say Rachael should turn once she needed to leave the ship which shouldn't be long after the game finishes, as for her mind it might be a bit hard to return maybe a few years or after she meets Piers. Piers however probably never lost control.

Thanks for the help. Shall we say that the transformation was prolonged (Rachael probably sunk/drifted while she mutated) and she escaped the Zenobia before the BSAA found her. Her mind returned gradually (her aggressiveness was curbed by the lack of pain thanks to the mermaid form) and she stumbled on the Neo Umbrella facility by accident.
Finally (sry for all the talk), do you think she can switch between tail and legs?

It all sounds like it works, as for Rachael going from tail to legs and back well. I always imagined she'd just slither when on land although she'll need a longer tail. But hey there's no reason why not.
