My respect for the source material is driven mostly by nostalgia, otherwise I consider it pretty subpar...but this movie is far better than it had any right to be. It actually established a solid lore/mythos, and the development of the rangers' relationship was meaningful.

finally saw the movie... I will admit, it was better than I expected. First time in a long time that I actually like the blue ranger the most.
