I've been making a bunch of OC references during the past few months (practically for all of 2023 so far), at least those that are my OC Clans' first leaders, their ancestors, and their decendants. Mostly because most of them I either have never drawn, or haven't drawn in a while and needed a reference sheet. That means this one, and plenty of others, should've been posted much sooner, and I just didn't, likely because I don't like posting the same thing twice, even if it would be on different sites. To be honest, I was doing all that for ToyHouse mostly, which is where I've been putting all those characters for the past few months. I'm only gonna be posting two references a day to catch myself up. I haven't even finished making them all, I still need to do one leader's family line. I wasn't going to post them until I was done making them all, but then I realized doing things like this wouldn't be very fair to those who don't have ToyHouse. Besides, this is called DeviantART for a reason, right?

The cat you see before you is Heather, a rogue from before the Clans were founded. She's the mother of the four original Clan leaders, but she never got to see them grow up, dying shortly after they were all born. She loved her mate dearly, and was sad to leave him behind when they planned to start a life with their new family. But she knew he'd do a good job raising them, especially when his sister Luna was helping him (because, y'know, toms can't nurse kits).
After the Clans were founded, she'd coin the terms for their afterlives: SacredClan and The Place of Reflection and Isolation (otherwise known as The Reflection Forest). SacredClan being like StarClan, and the Reflection Forest being like the Dark Forest. She's widely considered to be SacredClan's founder, and I suppose she technically is. But really, the grounds of SacredClan were once part of Himmel, the rogue afterlife. She just wanted to make it a place for Clan cats too.
[I'll continue talking about that whenever I make Himmel's founder. Speaking of which: Himmel is German for 'Heaven'. Since my kittypet afterlife is already just called 'Heaven', I wanted to think of something else for rogues and loners. I figured something in a different language would be pretty cool.]
