Description
This is for the nice people over atThis color battle is a tough one. I always have a bit of trouble with Joe Mad's art. So sketchy..but, he is also very awesome so it is a bit both of bitter and sweet.

Eh... It isn't my best work. I just submitted it to submit it. But, hey, I'll take "almost 4 stars" all day long. Thanks.

Cool. Just browsing some artwork and this came up for me. Immediately I can see that your highlights are too strong and too large. Almost every part of him is being drenched by light. I would suggest pulling those highlights back to create more contrast. Next is the lightning coming off the hammer. If you check out blue lightning you'll see that it lightning is at his hottest in the middle of a lightning chain thus making it white in the center with a blue tinge to the outside. right now you have it reversed.
and lastly the background colors don't compliment the piece at all. I think it's the green hue you gave the left side. just doesn't work with Thor's values.
There's a couple things you can do immediately to help this piece. Open a new layer on top of your colors and fill the layer with a solid color- lest say deep orange. set the layer to multiply and see how the highlights look after that. You can then adjust the opacity of the layer as needed. Get rid of the green tint in the background and just keep playing with the hue saturation of those colors till you get something that really makes Thor stand out.
I hope this helps!
Good luck!
