Description
Just some old trainer sprites from the mmo that I wanted to put up.The plan was to have a male/female version of each trainer class (Hence the female bug catcher).
Someone was saying I hadn't made trainer sprites before so I thought of putting these up.
The boy and the girl are the heroes of 's fangame.
And yes I'm aware the youngster and bug catcher both look bad haha.

The sad part is that the female bugcatcher looks a little like me. OTL
The fact that Yanma and Kurumiru are some of my favorite Pokemon probably isn't helping.

I've got a little advice for you - don't make the contours so dark, even black. They should be a little darker than colour inside them, in my opinion... and opinion of lot of other sprite-makers.
But still, quite good. Anatomy is not perfect, but your shading style... oh my god, i love it <3
Yup, i know - i wouldn't make better than you, of course. I want only to help you, that you won't make "mistakes" in your next works. ^^

I like them! Youngster looks really femenine though, but overall great work! Even when it is this old (My old things look twice as awful as the present ones)

Dunno I just thought I'd do it differently. Plus they hunt for bugs so you'd think they'd be really close to the ground where the bugs scurry.

...Maybe you should stick to tilesets? :V Idk, these sprites feel sorta odd, like, the faces feel a bit off, and, as an example, the bug kid's chest makes it somehow look like the head is put on backwards, and the fighting girl's leg is so thinnn 8D;
They also have some sort of flat feel to them, which is surprising considering how well you make the sprites for your tilesets 'pop' out like that

Uhh thanks...? You have to keep in mind these are maybe a year old and I can sprite trainers better...and not all of these are so bad.
I do agree that parts feel a bit off, but just because you're not very good doesnt mean you should give up. It's just more reason to work harder and get better.
I dont want to limit myself to just one thing, I like doing tilesets but I wanna be able to do other things too. Sorry for sounding defensive, I do appreciate the crit and hopefully can do better.
