This deviation (and the ones related to it) make up a deck (or several) of My Little Pony playing cards. There are many out there like it. This one is mine.My goals in laying out my own set of pony playing cards was threefold:
1) Evenness and equality of layout. Many of the other pony card decks I've encountered put their suit marks and values "close enough to" the right place. I wanted a professional-looking deck of cards where, if two cards of the same value but different suits were held up together (and were see-through, of course), everything would line up precisely.
2) My choice of art. Simple enough, yes? Why should I put up with a picture I don't like on a face card or wherever when it is 100% within my abilities to lay out my own deck with only art that I do like? I also felt that a suit dedicated to a specific pony should only have art of or directly related to that pony, and no ancillary characters (no Iron Will in my Fluttershy suit, thank you.)
3) They should fit well on custom cards as printed by a particular print shop (namely ArtsCow - www.artscow.com/ - because they do sturdy, coated stock the equal of any commercial deck of cards I can buy in a shop for only $10). Of course if you want to print your own deck, you can use any printery you like. They are made to print at a 1.4 aspect ratio (i.e., 2½" x 3½", or 750 x 1050 pixels).
How it works is this: I'm uploading these in individual suit packs, with the jokers and card back in a separate pack. So pick your four favorite ponies, download their suits, grab the Joker Pack, pick your two favorite jokers, grab the card back, and print up your own personal deck.
In the ZIP download you'll find 13 cards for a single suit - in this case Applejack's suit, the suit of Apples.
