Today, November 21, 2023, is the 25th Anniversary of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time!
And tomorrow, November 22, 2023, is the 10th anniversary of A Link Between Worlds!

So here's Link! He's the latest in my sub-series of stylized models that I call "Mini Gaming Icons." Heroically standing about 4 inches tall, Link is a blend of his appearances from across the series. Normally I've based these models on older iterations of characters, from the NES and Super NES era. However, since I wanted Link to wield the Hylian Shield, I decided to draw influence from his appearances in later games as well.

He takes heavy inspiration from A Link Between Worlds, in particular, but I also referenced Link's Awakening, Wind Waker, Minish Cap, the Oracle games, and even Link's artwork from the N64 version of Super Smash Bros. So...pretty much every game except the one that's celebrating its 25th anniversary today. Oops. 😅
