Description I won 's weekly raffle. He created this wonderful image of Katia Managan, the khajiit and main character of the amazing Prequel webcomic. You can find his original deviation here: fav.me/da2qro1

I liked it so much that I decided to come up with an accompanying story which you can read below.

Spell Practice

Katia felt the eyes of the soldier of the Imperial legion on her. The day was still very early and it was just about to dawn. Nobody else was around which made her even more nervous - but then again being unsure of herself seemed to be her normal state.

No, this was the dawn of a new day - literally and figuratively -  for Katia. She thought of the short pep-talk that Asotil - as she started to call the Imperial Legion soldier - gave her just a minute ago. No more self-pity, she could do this. Just a bit of magic. She did it before.

She remembered she had to take off her amulet, as it would prohibit her from casting anything.

In a dramatic motion, she ripped off the band off her neck. Thankfully this didn’t break the chain - the necklace had a drama clasp for exactly these kind of situations.

For a short moment, Katia thought of some of her former outfits that incorporated similar mechanics but soon refocused: Right now it was time for magic.

The Khajiit girl closed her eyes and cleared her mind. She put her arms on her side her hands slightly raised and half open, taking a stance that seemed to welcome any kind of energy flow. Remembering what the wizard at the Mages Guild told her, she thought of the magicka inside herself. She reached deep within her soul for the spark of magic. A fire within her, begging to be released. Clenching her fists she imagined the mysterious source within her and then went onto her other trick.

To her embarrassment, Katia recently discovered that making terrible puns somehow triggers her magic abilities - it’s the only way she knows how to actually cast anything - for now. So with a mental sigh, she thought up words with her inner voice while still focussing on her magic.

“Come on, Katia. Don’t be lion to yourself. You’re really feline it..”

Trying hard to suppress her cringe, Katia felt that the day being still this early, her creative juices aren’t really flowing. Demotivated she slowly opens one of her eyes, but they both quickly shot open as she saw the small flames burning in both of her hands.

“Yes! It’s working!” the feline female thought. She took her stance again - this time she needs more power, more force. She focused on the center of her body again and then thought of more stupid word plays:

“I have a meowntain of magicka inside me. I will master it, then I’m gonna be the pick of the litter.”

Just as she finished thinking the last word, a strange sensation went through Katia’s body. For a split second, she felt something shift in her insides and then it happened. In almost an instant her robe burst open. Green pieces of fabric violently flew off of the Khajiit's body. Unlike her amulet, the clothes did not have a drama clasp or anything like it - which ironically made the whole event even more dramatic:

Katia could only stare at what happened to her body. Right under her breasts, which were thankfully at least partly covered by her brown hood, her belly had swollen out to a big furry sphere. Her immensely gravid girth stuck out quite far - it’s sudden outburst had made Katia instinctively arc back, which thankfully enabled her to keep her balance but also made her swollen middle stuck out even further. “What in the name of the Daedra happened!?” Katia shrieked. The flames in her hands had vanished and she used them to rub and probe her round stomach. The warmth of its intense mass spread through her body and with it, she started to notice something else: A faint flutter, like a tickling disturbance, deep within her womb.

Katia’s ears flopped back. “I…. I’m pregnant?” The realisation terrified her.

“Most impressive for a novice!”. Katia spun around in shock and with her shifted gravity, she almost fell over. She had forgotten that Asotil was still there as well. He seemed completely unfazed by her little magic show, as a member of the Imperial Legion he must have seen his share of strange things. Or it was also his odd dry character - probably a mixture of both.

“That seems to be at least an expert level Alteration spell, though I’m not a wizard. May I be the first to congratulate you on your litter? Congratulations, Miss Managan.”

Litter? Katia looked back down at her prodigious gut. She was using a mountain of magic and as she cast her last word was litter. Did she really magically impregnate herself?

“I… I need to get to a healer. Fast.”

“Oomph.” Quill-Weave took a breather. The Argonian woman had just thrown out the last piece of junk that had cluttered her house after Katia had turned it into a complete mess. “Where did all these bones come from anyway?” she thought to herself as she stood at her doorstep. She couldn’t help but think about the Khajiit girl that came into her life only two nights ago and had already managed to throw her life completely for a loop. “Sheogorath himself must have sent her.” she mumbled to herself, yet she didn’t feel mad at Katia. Her naive approach of actively trying to shape her life and fate against all odds was something that Quill-Weave had to admire. Maybe she herself was getting too comfortable with the way things are - at least living like this she was far away from the pain of her past. And she could always use Katia’s antics in her new book.

*Clank clank clank clank clank*. A rhythmic metal sound disrupted Quill’s trail of thought. She walked to the corner of her house to see towards the city gates of Anvil. Just as she wondered who was making the ruckus, a figure entered the city grounds.

It was a soldier of the Imperial Legion and he appeared to be carrying something… no, wait… someone.

Asotil stopped and searched the streets. He saw the guild halls down the street on the right, but as he looked in that direction, he saw the argonian woman who appeared to be friends with Katia, so he started his determined march again in her direction. His heavy steel boots clanking along on the cobblestone street.

Quill Weave just watched in awe as she finally made out the person the soldier was holding. It was Katia, but she looked different. Asotil reached the startled author and set the furry-tailed girl down. With a salute, the soldier told them how honorable it was to help a mother-to-be in need and how he really needs to get back on his patrol route to Kvatch. He turned around and marched out of town.

“Mother to be?” Quill repeated in disbelief, but what she saw seemed to fit. Katia stood before her, cradling her very pregnant middle. “Quill… I… I don’t know what happened. I was casting a spell and then I…. ooooh.” Her sentence was interrupted as a kick disrupted her spherical womb. Slightly tumbling, Katia had a hard time keeping herself upright. Quill-Weave noticed and went to her friend's side to help her. “Why don’t we go inside, where you can lie down.”

They arrived in the bedroom where they were still stains on the walls, leftovers of Katia’s previous wild nights. The two girls didn’t pay them any attention, as Quill helped the Khajiit to gently sit down on the bed. Katia had to spread her legs pretty far to let her globe of a belly rest in her lap, it’s sides pushing into her thighs. She put her arms behind her on the bed and leaned into the support, finally calming down a bit. For a moment, they both watched the massive yellow gut rise and fall with Katia’s slightly labored breathing. Then Quill-Weave tackled the mammoth in the room: “So what exactly happened to you?”

Katia told her everything, how she wanted to practice magic and how her belly exploded out and how Asotil said something about an Alteration spell. All the while Quill couldn’t resist to let her hands roam among the furry surface of Katia’s middle. It seemed to calm the girl down a bit and for Quill itself the radiating warmth of the grand womb was strangely comforting. She found herself reminded of how she used to want kids, but she never had a good chance of having a few Argonian hatchlings of her own.

“So I hate to ask even more of you, but could you help me get a healer to take a look at me? I don’t even know exactly how pregnant I am.” she looked down at the big ball attached to her slender frame.

Quill-Weave knelt down before her, eye-level with Katia's popped out belly button. After the story, her shock turned into curiosity and she let her hands run around the sides of Katia’s belly.

“From what I can tell, it looks you could have four, maybe five kittens in there. Given that you are close to full term. But only an Alteration expert can tell you exactly, and as far as I know we don’t have any in Anvil. The local Mages Guild specializes more in Restoration, but maybe that can help you too.”

Suddenly Katia began to tear up a bit. It was becoming too much for her.

“I’m so sorry again, Quill. I mean, I meant to help you out, to redeem myself, but before the day even starts, I mess up and land back here again, being an even bigger burden on you.

I am a useless failure and alcoholic.  I can’t even take care of myself and now I’m supposed to take care of a few babies? Only Azura knows how many.”

Quill sat down beside her furry friend and looked into her feline eyes. “Hey, it’s going to be okay. One step at a time. First, you can stay here. I might kick out a drunk wh...” - Quill just caught herself as she saw how vulnerable Katia looked, “...a drunk. But I will not kick out a poor mother-to-be.”

“But I have no way to repay you, Quill-Weave. I probably never will.” Katia said with droopy ears.

“Oh, there is one thing you can do. Something you have done before. And if you do it, you can consider yourself free of debt and you made up for every bit of headache you caused me.”

Katia’s ears perked up again. Her eyes wide she leaned up and turned toward her friend. Her rotund midsection pressing into Quill-Weave’s stomach. Quill looked down and hoped that her scales would cover her blush.

“What is it? I’d do anything. I just don’t want to be a burden anymore.” Katia was eager to finally be of use.

“Could you…” Quill reptile pupils shifted to the upper right corner, she was certainly embarrassed for what she was about to ask of Katia.

“Could you cast the spell on me?”

Too bad she and Asotil did not have relationships even though they could not have children, as I read in a restoration book,is not proven with 100% assurance that the book itself states, but it is difficult. Lol it would be nice to see him romantically conjugated with her.

I think that would never fit with Asotil's personality, he simply would have no interest. He is fully devoted to the Empire and protecting it's citizens, following his duty.

Asotil is a character that the community created as much admiration as the protagonist, asotil is a soldier with an exaggerated perception of things and prequel is still following but the parts of the characters in the history already shows a link, at least on the part of the protagonist he to To see how positive it was Asotil in the life of katia, is a character that has a great importance for the character in history, even if asotil take his life to serve the imperial legion nothing  thereof Prevents away his interest in katia, of course, only the continuation will make this possible, I hope for this because it is a Great character and the character that helped the protagonist Without asking anything in return,as she  who has always been used  , I will not confirm anything but I hope for it.
