Laughter is the absence of depression

I'm slowly drowning in my own sorrow
Tear-filled, self-loathing depression

Peace is the absence of war
But even with the war
I'm in my false little world of peace
Glorious, although false, peace

Death is the absence of life
But even though I'm alive, I feel dead
I'm slowly deteriorating and fading away
Floating, falling, forever gone
