how do i add my own image to the bars rather than it being your default image?

you should be able to find the image that is the back of it and replaceit with your own image but you may need to resize it in the code :/
hope this helps

Im stuck at the step that says "Run N Spaces V Guides again with 'Vertical Guide Spacing' = w, 'Start from'24*w+r), and 'Number'=24"
I enter the value of "start from" and get an error saying:
"Error while executing script-fu-n-spaced-vguides:
Error: ( : 1) Procedure execution of gimp-image-add-vguide failed "

In the Edit file it says:
For info on changing resolutions, there's a readme in the skin's folder with detailed instructions.
Uhmm.. I can't seem to find it.. so would you mind explaining it to me in here?

This won't drop down to the desktop, keeps overlaying the icons on my desktop. Is there a way to fix this? Setting the position to "On Desktop" does not do this for me. Great skin, thanks! Easy to understand walkthrough, too.

Hey!
How do I add SomeVGuides.scm to the scripts folder?
I can't find anyway to do it.

Oh, I figured it out.
But I don't know what to do with the bars.
Do I untick the show layer mask and then do the bars?

You need to cut up an image into bars, there are a few scripts that can help with the tedious stuff and plenty of tutorials on GIMP on the internet.

Hello, awesome skin!
I was trying to figure out how to edit the pictures and bar sizes and I read about there being a readme file, but there isn't?
Theres just a .rmskin file that you can download and I cant seem to find a readme file anywhere.
Thanks in advance!

Save this as a .scm file in the appropriate folder (depends on GIMP installation)

I haven't tested this version so let me know if it throws an error when you try to use it or something

Can I just rescale the VUBarsGuideImage2 file to whatever screen resolution you have? Oh, and I'm a little confused on the bar height in the .ini after all the other steps.

Great idea, a question though. Is there a way to duplicate the music bar, so I can have it simultaneously on two monitors?

kylergs In reply to woOrms [2015-11-03 14:41:34 +0000 UTC]
Duplicate the Music/Bars folder and load it as a separate skin, to use different images, open the new skin and rename to the appropriate paths

Haha, I just changed my wallpaper like an hour ago, and it's the same as this one. Thought you hacked your Rainmeter into my computer Nice idea, btw.

Any way to actually fit it onto a 23" TV 1280x768? I can't see my other Rainmeter skins when listening to my jams. Thanks

Can I use Paint.net? Don't wanna install GIMP, paint.net is my favorite paint application.

kylergs In reply to ishotzz [2015-10-25 22:54:02 +0000 UTC]
Yes but you'd have to find a way to split the image into 48*3 bars of the right size, naming them all with the correct convention. I've set up scripts to do that in GIMP
