Description Art sometimes is used as an ice breaker to discuss certain topics. I've often told myself I would never talk to much about things b/c I wanted my work to be the focus. For whatever reason, I've felt in the mood to discuss some things that I've noticed and how it relates to my subject matter. After all, the art community always seems to promote expression...

Being a big fan of history, I enjoy taking pictures of places and studying up on the history that occurred during the time those places existed or were created. Recently, I was humored by reading many statements and quotes from the Great Depression and the level of arrogance in many of the individuals who sat in positions of power at the time and how it seemed to have been pulled from today's headlines with what our leaders are telling us. A very great deal used that time in history to gain and seize power in unconstitutional ways and methods. A look back will clearly unveil how many disturbing precedents were began with what many who considered themselves to be "progressives." They used the elements of crisis and bully tactics to advance their skewed sense of Constitutional ideology. America has never been the same since. One only has to look at current times to see just how far the proverbial apple has fallen from the tree. Several Presidents from that particular era have been elevated to "hero" status due to rewrites in history. Factual research will prove otherwise. Woodrow Wilson, for example, created a administrative sanctioned, political driven league (comprised of his supporters) to beat and arrest anyone who opposed or spoke out against the actions of the administration/congress. The Sedition Act of 1918 alone was a direct violation of the Constitution/Unalienable Rights and was used fluently to take political prisoners in America. Franklin Roosevelt, who also conducted numerous offenses against the Constitution, has been elevated in most cases simply because he was the wartime president during WWII. History seems to have been swept under the rug in many cases. The creators of our government spoke fervently about the consequences of straying from the path of liberty and the abuses of an ever expanding government. In a bit of shock, their exact words also seemed to be directly speaking about what we as Americans face today-instead of King George and Great Britain, substitute our Federal Government(all three branches).

Long story short, but history repeats itself and failure will be inherited by those who do not learn from it.
