I know right? The girl sitting next to me (who was also held back a grade hmm... wonder why?) was texting during the exam. It's one of those situations where a socially awkward kid (me) feels like they can't tell on the popular skank (her) because they are not sure how to react. Her screen was glowing really bright and I'm not sure how the teacher didn't notice.

I agree with you so much on this. Not only do I dislike texting, I dislike cell phones in general. My Mom made me get one because I was walking home from school more, which I agree with, but still. And they blocked texting! Thank goodness. Waste of time and money in my opinion.

But it can be useful to have a phone for more than communication. Like having a GPS on it, or a calculator, and having the internet on the go isn't a bad thing either. And texting isn't bad either, I personally prefer it to talking on the phone. (but not while driving or something idiotic like that)

Lots of kids text in most of my classes and it just ticks me off! They can text crap like "Imma Twilight fan" or any of that crap when their somewhere that doesn't involve VITAL INFORMATION.
