"Samus Aran, AKA the Hunter. There is little known about this humanoid flurry of destruction. She is frighteningly efficient in infiltration and destruction. Attempts at stalling her have only served to cause unneeded casualties and more damage than necessary. It has been considered defenses be dropped completely by the logic that it would be more cost effective. So far, the higher ups have refused my suggestions, but it can't be too long before they realize the size of her threat.Seriously, how many times has Ridley died? Our insurance doesn't cover this."

The thing I love most about Samus is that she's completely independent and can kick pretty much any ass she chooses. XD. With or without the Chozo Battle Suit, she's a total level 10 alert! XD
anyway...I drew 2 pictures of Samus and only colored one. I drew the Zero suit and then I sketched out the battle suit over it. It looked awesome, but I didn't have the will to color it. XP I might later, though. until then here's this!

Now this is what Samus should look like.
Maybe this is just me, but her physical proportions are off (not exactly in the way you're thinking). Check the torso in comparison to the rest of her body (a bit small), and also her head (a bit large). Other than that, this is the most ever.

Very very impressive. I like the wireframe of the suit over her.
I think there's something -slightly- off about the face, maybe the eye spacing, but it's overall very good.

The only criticism is the face. Something about either the eyes, the nose or the mouth looks 'off' somehow. I can't place it, though, not even which of the three it is, sorry.

robots. I can't draw robots or almost anything inorganic in shape. straight lines and such are difficult for me X3 Her chozo suit was difficult in itself.

Ditto. I hate mechanics, that's why I'm NEVER going to do that Transformers Parody ISF (much to the disappointment of Ferret).
Back to this, I don't know why but the breasts seem awkward. They seem a little bit too small to have that amount of curve.
I don't know what Samus mainly looks like though, so I'm just gonna go with it and say "Well done, have a cookie/brownie/dead fish to hit me with."

hehe yeah it wasn't really that easy since you couldn't kill anything, but still, she managed to get into the Chozo Ruins basically unarmed and through the entire Space Pirate ship XD that's rather awesome, isn't it?

Random pseudo-off-topic rant:
You know, I really haven't played any metroid (the only nintendo console I ever had was a SNES, and that was at a time when they were out of date, since then I've only had playstations and xboxes.), but it really seems that Samus was a heavy inspiration for Halo's Master-Chief; they both have kick-ass body armor, take on whole alien civilizations essentially by themselves, and leave their enemies cowering in fear. Perhaps this is why there are so many "Samus vs. Master-Chief" fanfics out there...
((I'm not saying that Master-Chief is as awesome as Samus. Chief is a very unoriginal character; the stereotypical super-soldier/space-marine with a deep voice and bad-ass attitude. Samas was very original in her day: she was one of the very first female characters in a genre dominated by male characters. I've heard that quite a few people were surprised when they revealed that Samus was female at the end of the first Metroid game.))

Yes, there's a really major similarity to MC and SA. I've never been a fan of Halo, more for that it's an FPS than the fact it's "copying" (because it really isn't. and for the record, I'm none too thrilled at the Primes being FPS themselves but they pull it off well enough.)
She was actually THE first female main character in video games. And the reveal is forever locked in Video Game History along with the Powerglove and E.T. X3
