Soooooo, a few weeks ago I saw somebody made a dumb meme saying that "ISIS is Islamic because its a part of their name". I found that point to be comically stupid, so this is my response to it.I might be making more politics type stuff next week.
Grud dammit, why do I keep getting into this shit????

I sincerely believe that the overwhelming majority of Muslims are not terrorists, but saying Isis is not Islamic is taking political correctness too far.

The difference here is that ISIS actually practices Islam in its most extreme forms and the laws of the Islamic State are almost entirely based around that which is laid out in the Koran and other Muslim texts. Their leader and founder, al-Baghdadi, is also a muslim Cleric. I think judging an entity purely by their name is fairly lazy and one is going to be mislead sometimes. But ISIS is, in fact, an islamic theocratic state.

That is not a very strong argument, but it is very difficult to dispute that ISIS isn't theologically and scripturally justified. Nearly every action they take can be justified in the Quran, Hadiths, or in the life of Muhammad.

He conquered most of the Arabian peninsula. Even had he not, you'd be hard pressed to find much in what ISIS does which Muhammad didn't either do himself, command or suggest somewhere, or would, given what we know of him, likely approved of.
