I'd recommend to use different sizes of brush for the background and for the main character( for the lines!) It will look more dynamic, and it's an easy thing to do ! You don't even to actually put lines everywhere, you can also, for example on the cloud, just put some white on the blue !

I ink it all by hand. Later on I did get different sized pens, and on some effects I have went over them with color on the computer, but its annoyingingly more work, so I'd like to do it as little as possible.

The robot looks cool but the back ground is lacking detail. The story as said be for is looking pretty boring.
