Perhaps Gosho Aoyama will do some cinematic ending to the series in which Shinichi will first be in love with his precious Ran but afterwards figure out that it's Shiho he really cared about.
Meanwhile I doubt it to happen like this but it would been awesome, especially when Ran is fine by that.
