So, I picked up a manga sometime last week... Well, I was at the book store originally looking for GU+ volume 2 (which came out the day after I went along with XXXX, and I still have neither), and since I couldn't find anything good, I started rummaging around the book shelves in search of... anything, really. No luck. Instead, I went to the spiny-cases they've got, and saw a book with a shiny blue cover which I'd never heard of it. I flipped it over and read the back, figuring it would be lame cos' the title failed pretty badly (altough the cover art was kinda pretty). Turns out that the main character's name is Kakeru, so I decided I should give it a chance. (Don't get the reference? Kakeru is the japanese name of Bakuryu the Mole in Bloody Roar)

Well, I liked it. A lot.

It turned out a lot better than I thought it'd be. XD A LOT better.

It also turned out that if you squint, you can relate all the characters to Bloody Roar characters (because I'm a nerd, not because it has anything to do with it).

It's basically about some kids who are ESPers and run away from a facility that "harvests" psychics. Their names are Ayano, Xiao Long, Kaito, and Joi. Joi's the uber of the group, and tells them to jump off a cliff and find some kid named Kakeru. Well, they all survive the jumping, although Kaito gets lost and Joi gets hurt, and they find Kakeru and lalalala not gonna ruin the rest of the plot. xD

BSed all over this background... But I like this picture a lot. Left to right, it's Joi, Ayano, Xiao Long, and Kaito (Kaito being the one standing). It started out as only a picture of Long, but... I drew them in the uniforms they wear in the beginning, but since each one was mostly the same -- just worn differently -- it kinda looks boring... D: I had to guess with a few things, since you don't get a good look at Joi or Kaito in these clothes. If you notice the subtle differences, you're made of win.

Maybe I'll draw more of them later, and include Kakeru.
