I've been dying to do this for ages and found time tonight to quickly draw something within the hour.People forget to add Kyu's hooves....quite often.
So I decided it was time for a reference of them! ^-^
I hope this clarifies things!

What color do your hooves change in fall?

It's a slight transformation, but good question!
At the coffin bone (the last bone in a horse/pony leg) is where it starts to turn it's icy color. It slowly creeps outward until the outer air temp reaches freezing point. Until then, the glossy blue you see during the summer tends to stick around near the outer edges.
